I strive to make sets of dishes that revolve around the enjoyment of eating. Much in the way shapes of food are geometric and organic, so are my forms.  My objects have specific aspects that create sensations for the hands and lips that use them.

On the surface of each form, I use layers of straight lines and bold colors to achieve my designs.  The layers play with the senses of touch and sight. They give the illusion of chaos, but in the chaos is order.

Utilitarian means: designed to be useful or practical rather than attractive.  The pottery I make is to be used on an everyday basis, and also to be unique and esthetically pleasing.  The consumption of food is a daily ritual that everyone takes part in. Through these rituals, people are brought together everyday.  Making those experiences special is my goal.
